Apple最新MacBook Pro將使用Thunderbolt Light Peak傳輸介面

Apple即將發表的MacBook Pro將搭載最新的傳輸介面稱為"Thunderbolt"的Light Peak技術，和 Core i5 dual-core處理器。

Light Peak

Light Peak，一種由英特爾(Intel)發表的光纖連接器標準，目的在於當作電腦與其他裝置之間的通用匯流排。

所謂Light Peak是一種新的光學連接器標準，透過光纖線路發送具紅外線光芒的訊號，當作電腦與其他裝置之間的通用連接線，類似目前USB的功能，以光纖來代替傳統的數據線進行數據傳輸，未來一台電腦可裝設數個Light Peak連接埠，提供不同的裝置使用，也可直接連接到一個具有數種對外介面的裝置上，取代DVI、DisplayPort、USB、Firewire、 HDMI等連接方式。

Light Peak的優勢在於可用一種細長的線纜支援多種輸入輸出裝置，目前Light Peak網路線最長可達100公尺，且雙向同步傳輸速度可達10Gb/s，預期這個速度未來10年內將會達到100Gb/s。
